Welcome to the Certified Retirement Planner (CRP) professional designation. The CRP designation may be awarded to those insurance professionals who meet the following minimum prerequisites:
- State insurance producer license active and in good standing
- Minimum one-year industry experience requirement (evidenced by minimum one-year active and good-standing license requirement)
- No displicinary actions taken against state license
- Successful completion of preliminary CRP overview coursework, including seven unit quizzes and graded final exam (preliminary course outline)
- Succesful completion of advanced CRP coursework, taught by state-approved insurance education providers; successful examination results required (advanced course outline)
- Successful completion of five audio seminars taught by state-approved insurance education instructors, including one full seminar in ethics (seminar outline)
- Completion of 15 CRP continuing education hours per year, including 2 hours of ethics CE
- Adherence to CRP code of ethics
